Mourne Textiles runs introductory courses in the art of weaving at the workshop at the foot of the Mourne Mountains. Week-long Handloom Weaving Holidays or shorter three-day Weekend Breaks are available.

Students are guided through the process of weaving by Master Weavers Karen Hay-Edie and Leonora Dand who both have vast knowledge and experience.
All equipment is provided, with the looms set up and a wide range of colourful yarns for participants to choose from. By the of the course students will be able to take away their first woven fabrics, whether as a scarf, a set of table mats or cushion covers.
Spaces are limited to a maximum of 6 people so that the tutors can give each participant their personal attention.
